Facilities

Our yard comprises 11 very large well ventilated loose boxes. All the boxes are bedded on Easibed and are open fronted allowing the horses fresh air and a great view. The feed room is central to the yard with a rug and storage room on one end with a wash box at the other. The wash box has 2 bays and will have hot water, solarium and electric points for clipping and grooming machine.

Currently being installed (scheduled for completion in Jan 2006) is a Claydon 5 horse exerciser with rubber paver surface. This will be an invaluable asset to the daily running of the yard and will be available for controlled exercise when taking in horses that require slow fittening work or re-hab following injury.

We have extensive grazing, which was previously dairy grassland. The paddocks are fenced with permanent electric fencing. We regularly rotate the fields and pride ourselves on the quality of our pasture.

There is immediate access to a variety of country rides due to our close proximity to farm tracks and bridleways. It is possible to ride out without having to go on public roads.

Our all-weather arena is 50x60 metres and was built by Soft Track. The rubber on sand combination provides an excellent surface which stands up to the worst that the British weather can throw at us. We have never been prevented from riding on it by anything less than thick snow.

We have a comprehensive set of show jumps including fillers and water trays, as well as a corner and arrowhead cross-country type fences, most useful for introducing horses to this type of fence.

There is equipment for a 20x60m dressage arena

We have plenty of hard standing for parking and the yard is under 24 hour supervision.

We have a Niagra Equissage machine together with a hand held unit which is available to use on site or can be hired for longer periods by arrangement. See the Equissage web-site for information or talk to Sarah about the benefits and applications for its use for the well being of your horse.
